French all-business-class airline La Compagnie has restored direct service from Düsseldorf to New York Newark, launching a five-times-weekly nonstop service in April 2027. The route bridges the gap left since October 2023, when Delta Air Lines pulled out of the Düsseldorf to United States market. The new route will operate five times per week as a seasonal summer service, providing the North Rhine-Westphalia region with its only direct link to the New York metropolitan area.
The airline will execute flights using a brand-new Airbus A321neo LR single-aisle aircraft, slated for delivery in March 2027. Flights are timed to depart Düsseldorf at noon and touch down at Newark Liberty International Airport at 14:35 local time. True to La Compagnie’s signature setup, the aircraft will feature an exclusive, 100pc business class configuration with only 76 lie-flat seats arranged in a spacious 2-2 layout.
Passengers can expect high-end premium features including seasonal menus crafted alongside acclaimed chefs, paired with select French wines and Champagne. Free, unlimited gate-to-gate high-speed Wi-Fi is included. Travelers departing from Germany will have access to the DUS Sky Lounge in Pier C, while those flying out of New York will utilise La Compagnie’s recently updated Lounge&Co private space at Newark.
