A new survey by travel insurer Staysure reveals that 49pc of holidaymakers find travelling abroad more stressful than a year ago, with delays a major concern as English holiday makers in particular report 44pc say longer airport or border queues would make them reconsider trips, while 46pc worry about the EU’s Entry/Exit System causing delays.
Cost pressures are also evident, with many opting for cheaper options or feeling less confident booking ahead. Demand for disruption cover has risen, yet Europe remains dominant in sales, showing overall resilience.
