- Five new members appointed to PATA Executive Board
- Jennifer Chun appointed Secretary/Treasurer from Hawaii Tourism Authority
- Yang Li from Booking.com and Ibrahim Shiuree from Visit Maldives elected as members
- Alhasan Aldabbagh and Suman Pandey appointed as non-voting members
- Board now fully constituted with representation across public and private sectors
The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) has appointed five additional members to its Executive Board, further strengthening the Association’s leadership and broadening representation from both the public and private sectors across the Asia Pacific region. The newly elected and appointed Executive Board members include Jennifer Chun (Director of Tourism Research, Hawaii Tourism Authority) as Secretary/Treasurer, Yang Li (Head of Public Affairs APAC, Booking.com) as Executive Board Member, and Ibrahim Shiuree (CEO and Managing Director, Visit Maldives Corporation) as Executive Board Member. Alhasan Aldabbagh (President APAC, Saudi Tourism Authority) and Suman Pandey (Group Chairman, Explore Himalaya Travel and Adventure) were appointed as non-voting Executive Board members.
These appointments bring extensive industry experience, regional perspectives and expertise to further strengthen the Association’s leadership. With the Board now fully constituted, PATA Chairman Henry Oh stated the Association looks forward to drawing on their diverse experience, knowledge and perspectives as they continue to strengthen PATA and support collaboration across their membership and the wider tourism industry. The new members will work alongside Chairman Oh and the Executive Board to support PATA’s strategic priorities and advance its mission of sharing knowledge, enabling networking and protecting tourism economy assets across the Pacific Asia region.
The Executive Board now comprises Chairman Henry Oh (Global Tour Ltd), Vice Chair Ben Montgomery (Centara Hotels and Resorts), Secretary/Treasurer Jennifer Chun (Hawaii Tourism Authority), and Executive Board members including Jackson Pek (Amadeus), Maria Paz Alberto (Ark Travel Express), Yang Li (Booking.com), Siripakorn Cheawsamoot (DASTA), Dr Sharzede Salleh Askor (Sarawak Tourism Board), Ibrahim Shiuree (Visit Maldives Corporation), Alhasan Aldabbagh (Saudi Tourism Authority), and Suman Pandey (Explore Himalaya Travel and Adventure). Noor Ahmad Hamid serves as Ex-Officio CEO of PATA.
