A popular gastropub in Dublin 8 has kicked off ‘Pie January’, a month-long promotion celebrating hearty pies to combat post-holiday blues.
The initiative highlights local hospitality and food culture, encouraging diners to visit for seasonal specials and supporting the city’s vibrant pub and dining scene.
Tenters Gastroipub shared: Tucked away in Dublin’s bustling Liberties, Tenters at Aloft Dublin City is warm, welcoming and exactly where January evenings should be spent. Throughout the month, the pub is inviting Dubliners to swap the restraint of resolutions and Dry January for comfort with a special Pie January menu served daily.
Pie January is a celebration of savoury pies done properly. Think golden, buttery pastry, rich gravy and generous, slow-cooked fillings, served piping hot and made for cold nights and long weeks.
Pies are priced from €19 and come with a choice of side salad or hand-cut fries. The Pie January menu will rotate throughout the month and is expected to include classic gastro pies such as succulent Slow-braised Beef and Vegetable, heart-warmingChicken and Mild Curry and moreish Chicken, Mushroom and Leek. With vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options forming part of the core offering, Pie January is an easy choice for mixed tables and midweek catch-ups.
Speaking at the announcement of Pie January at Tenters, Roderick Vastenburg, the General Manager at Aloft said, “Dry January can feel quite earnest. Pie January is our way of lightening the mood. It is about creating a warm place to land midweek, serving food people genuinely look forward to, and giving January a bit of comfort without making a song and dance about it.”
