Renfe will operate eight additional high speed AVE trains per week on the Madrid to Malaga route from seventeen July, increasing weekly services from 165 to 174.
This 5,8pc capacity boost adds over 3,330 seats weekly and aligns with peak summer demand. The reinforcement coincides with the full restoration of double track operations through Alora following infrastructure repairs after February floods.
Adjustments to timetables for AVE and Avlo services will also take effect. The enhancement supports greater connectivity for tourism and travel between the two cities.
