RIU Hotels & Resorts has reopened the Hotel Riu Palace Peninsula in Cancun following a comprehensive renovation. The property, which debuted in 2012, has been transformed with an elegant aesthetic defined by natural tones and warm woods. The renovation introduces the Elite Club, an exclusive service for adult guests offering premium beverages, an exclusive specialty restaurant, a private pool with a swim-up bar, and guaranteed access to 100 of the best rooms in the hotel.

The 618 rooms now feature an elegant and inviting design, with the style extending throughout common areas including restaurants and the lobby. The lobby now features more expansive spaces and natural light, with the District bar offering views of the Caribbean Sea. The Elite Club’s private pool and villa area were formerly designated as the Adults Only zone.

The gastronomic offering features 9 restaurants and 7 bars, including two new concepts: an American Country themed restaurant within the 24-hour Sports Bar and the Candy ice cream parlor. The outdoor areas feature six swimming pools, including one for adults, one for Elite Club guests, and a children’s pool. RIU now operates six hotels in Cancun and 23 properties across Mexico.
