Santa Monica has welcomed the summer season with the inaugural Ocean Way Festival, a two-day music festival taking place on 26-27 September on Santa Monica beach. Goldenvoice has announced the festival, which features headliners The Killers and Olivia Dean, alongside Jack White, Khruangbin, Sublime, Durand Jones and the Indications, Alvvays, SG Lewis, 54 Ultra, Hiatus Kaiyote, BLOND:ISH, Poolside and Hot Chip DJs. The festival includes the Proper Beach Club, a beachfront hospitality experience designed in partnership with Proper Hotels.

Hotel Casa Del Mar celebrates 100 years of oceanfront elegance in 2026 with a “Golden Hour” happy hour available Monday-Thursday from 3-6pm. Regent Santa Monica Beach offers a Private Sunset Cabana experience and a Route 66 Centennial Journey package. The Georgian Hotel has joined The Unbound Collection by Hyatt. Santa Monica Proper Hotel has introduced the Hyperion Recovery Suite, and Maison Twenty Seven has joined Hilton’s Small Luxury Hotels of the World.

SELINE has been awarded One MICHELIN Star at the 2026 MICHELIN Guide California awards, becoming Santa Monica’s third MICHELIN Star restaurant. Pacific Park has welcomed La Monica Pizza & Bar and Sweet Rose Creamery. West Side Oyster Club has opened on Ocean Avenue. The Downtown Santa Monica Farmers Market celebrates 45 years. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pizzeria and Dragon Alley Coffee have opened on Third Street Promenade, and Big Sur Grill has opened on Wilshire Boulevard.
