Somali domestic carrier Starsky Airlines has revealed its intention to expand to international destinations, with Kenya tipped to be the logical first destination. The company stated that as part of its next chapter of growth, Starsky Aviation is expanding beyond its domestic network toward international routes, strengthening Somalia’s air connectivity with regional and global destinations. The airline attended Aviation Week Africa 2026 in Nairobi with the aim of building international partnerships and positioning Starsky Aviation as a stronger regional and international carrier.
According to ch-aviation data, the airline’s fleet currently comprises one 35.3-year-old 50-seater F50 registered 7Q-SMO and one EMB-120RT(F) registered 7Q-YES, wet leased from Malawi’s Flytech. The aircraft could not be tracked on ADS-B data. On 10 February 2026, Starsky Airlines’ only other aircraft, F50 60-YAS, overran the runway on landing at Mogadishu, coming to rest in shallow seawater with a broken wing. All 55 people on board survived.
