Sixteen potential bidders have shown interest in participating in the partial privatisation of SriLankan Airlines.
Notable bidders include Etihad Airways, Emirates, and India’s Adani Group, while Tata Sons, previously speculated to be interested, did not submit a request for qualification (RFQ).
The International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group and the government’s advisor, is helping narrow down the sixteen RFQs to create a shortlist for the second phase of the bidding process.
