Tourism Ireland puts food on show for four Swiss journalists

  • The group flew directly to Cork on Edelweiss flight from Zurich and followed a food-focused itinerary.
  • The programme included the Cork Tasting Trail Kinsale boat tour Midleton Distillery and Ballymaloe experiences.
  • Visits continued to Mount Congreve Avoca Mill and a Dublin e-bike tour with Howth Adventures.
  • The visit aims to inspire Swiss holidaymakers through articles on Irish produce and culinary experiences.

Tourism Ireland has hosted four Swiss journalists with a combined audience of around 1.7m as they explored Ireland culinary offering this week. 

The group followed a bespoke itinerary focused on food and drink and flew directly to Cork on Edelweiss flight from Zurich.

The programme started with a Cork Tasting Trail from the English Market with Fab Food Trails then continued to Kinsale for a boat tour with Kinsale Wellness on Water and dinner at Fishy Fishy. The journalists visited Midleton Distillery Experience and Hederman Smoke House enjoyed dinner at Ballymaloe House Hotel and took a private garden tour at Ballymaloe Cookery School. They experienced the 350m Estate to Plate menu at The Stables Café at Mount Congreve did a guided walk in the garden toured Avoca Mill in County Wicklow and took a panoramic e-bike tour with Howth Adventures in Dublin.
