Travelport has signed a long-term distribution agreement with Egyptair covering both EDIFACT and NDC content, giving Travelport-connected agencies access to Egyptair fares and ancillaries through both traditional and modern NDC channels. The agreement gives agencies continued access to Egyptair’s content through established EDIFACT channels while adding a new, richer layer of NDC content to the airline’s distribution through Travelport. Content will be accessible through Travelport’s booking application and TripServices API platform.

Under the agreement, agencies will gain access to NDC-enabled content and ancillary services made available by Egyptair, including a broader range of products. Agencies benefit from normalized, curated content across sources, intelligent orchestration and search, and consistent servicing from one place. Amr Adawy, VP Commercial at Egyptair, stated the airline is pleased to extend its long-standing relationship with Travelport through this new agreement.

Damian Hickey, Global Head of Travel Partners at Travelport, stated the agreement reflects the continued evolution of how airlines distribute content, and Travelport is proud to support Egyptair through it. He stated agencies connected to Travelport+ get the best of both worlds: the reliability of established distribution alongside the richer content and ancillaries that NDC enables.
