- Load factor up 1pc to 97pc
- Rolling annual up 13pc to 126.2m
Ryanair carried a record 12.7m seats sold in August, and matched their world record load factor of 97pc which they achieved the previous month.
Rolling traffic was 126.2m passengers in the 12 months to end August. This was the 40th successive record month for Ryanair passenger numbers. The growth trajectory mean that Ryanair are unlikely to fall below 10m passengers in a month until November.
The 97pc load factor is a record. Ryanair previously recorded a load factor of 96pc four times, in June 2017, in July 2016, August 2016 and April 2017. Ryanair hit 95pc load factor on seven occasions, July and August 2015, September, October, November 2016, and February and May 2017,
