Ireland West Airport is set for record-breaking year as over 732,000 passengers pass through in first nine months of year
The airport projected over 945,000 passengers for the full year and exceeded the 833,191 recorded in 2024.
More than 40,000 passengers expected passage through the airport over the festive period. London routes dominated traffic in Quarter 3 with Luton, Stansted, Liverpool, and Heathrow as top destinations. The airport received €1.9m under the Regional Airports Programme 2021-2025.
Arthur French, Chairman, Ireland West Airport, shared “I’m pleased to say we are forecasting a record year for passenger numbers in 2025, which is a testament to the firm support from the entire region and beyond for the airport.”
