TUI reports strongest Q1 ever in three months to December

Travel giant TUI has reported its strongest opening to a financial year, with revenues holding steady at €4.9bn for the quarter ending December 2025, underpinned by a 2.2pc rise in guest numbers to 7.1m and an 8pc increase in packaged trips. 

The surge was particularly driven by cruises, where underlying earnings jumped 70.8pc to €82.3m amid high occupancy and fleet growth, alongside solid performance in hotels and resorts. This positive momentum signals robust demand in the tourism industry, with TUI maintaining guidance for 2 to 4pc revenue growth, reflecting optimism for winter and summer 2026 travel despite economic challenges
