The Omeath to Carlingford Greenway will close temporarily later this year to accommodate the arrival and installation of the Narrow Water Bridge span. The fixed-span structure currently under construction in Ghent Belgium is expected during the summer months. Louth County Council will provide updates once a confirmed delivery timeline arrives.
The bridge project connecting Omeath in County Louth with Warrenpoint in County Down remains on schedule and within budget with painting of steel sections underway. Completion is forecast by the end of 2027. The closure will last several weeks at the affected location.
David Jones shared as a result of this arriving and being put in place the Greenway will be closed for a number of weeks at that location.
