Ireland outbound was 1,178,200 in April, down 5.8pc on April 2025 and up 58.1pc on pre-pandemic. Rolling annual was 12,518,600, down 1.7pc on the twelve months to April 2025.

This is the first dip in outbound travel since the pandemic, partly attributable to the date of Easter, which transferred the early part of the trail to March, and may also be partly to consumer sentiment in the aftermath of the Gulf war.

Ireland outbound was 1,100,700 in March, up 9.5pc on March 2025 and up 73.6pc on pre-pandemic. Rolling annual was 13,452,200, up 6.8pc on the twelve months to March 2025.
