Key recommendations include standardising Payment Time Limit communication across the booking lifecycle, introducing proactive Order Change Notifications for impending payment expirations, supporting secure storage of payment credentials for later fulfillment, and delivering consistent deferred payment functionality across booking, servicing, ancillary sales, and exchange workflows. These recommendations are expected to reduce manual intervention, improve automation, increase operational efficiency, and accelerate NDC adoption.

Jim Davidson, Vice Chairman of Accelya, stated the group shows up ready to solve real NDC challenges and close the gaps limiting adoption. Tye Radcliffe, Chief Customer Success Officer at Accelya, stated each workstream focuses on practical improvements that make NDC easier to adopt, automate, and scale. Participants from FCM Travel, SAP Concur, Amex GBT, ARC, Fox World Travel, Travelfusion, Travelport, Emburse, Spotnana, Direct Travel, and ATPCO highlighted the value of the initiative.
