- Wizz Air will open a base at Santiago de Compostela on February 1, 2027
- The base will operate a single A321-200NX aircraft
- Five new domestic routes will launch to Tenerife Norte, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Málaga and Zaragoza
- International services from Rome Fiumicino and Warsaw Modlin will launch in December 2026

Wizz Air will open a new base at Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, northwestern Spain, on February 1, 2027. It will base a single A321-200NX out of the airport. The opening will allow Wizz Air to launch five new domestic routes, to Tenerife Norte, Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, Málaga, and Zaragoza.
Wizz Air will also launch international services to Santiago out of Rome Fiumicino and Warsaw Modlin, both launching in December 2026. It will be the second scheduled carrier with a base at Santiago, after Vueling Airlines.
