American Express Platinum card holders receive exclusive benefits when staying at both FHR and THC properties. When booking at least two nights at a THC property via Amex Travel, Card Members receive a $100 property credit, plus 12-pm check-in, late check-out, and room upgrades when available. For any stay at an FHR property booked via Amex Travel, Card Members also receive a $100 property credit, daily breakfast for two, guaranteed late check-out, 12-pm check-in, and room upgrades when available. The Hotel Curation Team reviews each property against a set of required and preferred criteria informed by what premium Card Members value when they travel.

New additions include ESPACIO Nagoya Castle in Japan and Casa Lucia in Buenos Aires. The 2026 Global Travel Trends Report shows 82 pc of global respondents plan to build buffer days around a milestone trip, while 72 pc plan to extend trips by three or four days. Additionally, 87 pc intentionally leave their rooms to seek spontaneous discoveries and local experiences while travelling. When Fine Hotels + Resorts launched 35 years ago, luxury was largely associated with iconic hotels and impeccable service, but today travellers also look for authenticity, personalisation, and connection to the destination.

Audrey Hendley, President of American Express Travel, shared “This expansion gives Card Members more choice across the places they want to go now — from beach escapes and culinary capitals to culture-rich cities and adventure destinations, while continuing to deliver the elevated benefits they expect from American Express Travel.”
