Celebrity Cruises has restructured its Europe, Middle East, and Africa team, resulting in the departure of two senior leaders, Hannah Simpson and Michael English. The structural review concluded in August 2026, with Hannah Simpson’s role as Head of Trade Marketing made redundant and Michael English leaving earlier in June. The changes form part of wider organisational adjustments within the cruise line.
The departures come after the cruise line launched a deep review of its sales and marketing functions across multiple global regions. A company spokesperson stated the changes aim to align sales and marketing functions more closely across international markets to best support the brand. The regional team continues to be managed by Claire Stirrup, Managing Director of and EMEA, alongside Giles Hawke, Vice President of International.
Michael English had spent nearly 20 years at Celebrity Cruises and over 33 years with its parent organisation, Royal Caribbean Group. The restructuring reflects the company’s efforts to streamline its operations and adapt to changing market conditions. Both executives declined to comment further on the specific personal redundancies.
