VIVA Boutique has unveiled the shore excursion programme for its 2027 Italy season, with the operator beginning sailings on the Venetian Lagoon and the Po River in May on new ship VIVA UNIQUE. The 104-guest ship will operate three seven-night themed itineraries focusing on cuisine, culture and art from May to October. The itineraries include ‘The Flavours of Italy’ roundtrip from Venice calling at Mazzorbo, Taglio di Po, Polesella and Chioggia; ‘Timeless Journey Through the Lagoon’ roundtrip from Venice calling at Mazzorbo and Chioggia; and ‘Discovering the Legacy of Italian Masters’ departing from Venice calling at Mazzorbo, Taglio di Po, Polesella, Revere, Boretto and Cremona, with a reverse option available.
Shore excursions for these itineraries and shorter cruises during the winter from November to March range from short options to half and full-day experiences with a mix of activity levels. Highlights include a 2.5-hour bike tour in Chioggia to Sotto Marina, travelling via bike to Piazza Vigo, Fondamenta San Francesco and Lusenzo Lagoon; a full-day gastronomic tour to Bologna with a guided walking tour, lunch at a traditional restaurant and a fresh pasta demonstration; a half-day tour to Padua visiting the Garden of Padua with free time; and a three-hour tour in Venice following the Trail of Venice’s Power and Prestige, starting at Piazza San Marco and visiting the Marciana Library, the Loggetta and Doge’s Palace.
VIVA Boutique ships feature more than 50pc suite accommodation, with guests benefiting from extras such as an included signature shore excursion, three onboard restaurants and Michelin-star inspired options in MOMENTS. Guests staying in suite accommodation receive additional benefits including airport transfers, priority boarding, in-suite breakfast and a personal concierge. The all-inclusive experience includes all meals, flexible dining across up to three restaurants, a selection of premium drinks, complimentary High Tea once per voyage, a daily replenished minibar and Nespresso coffee machine, a welcome bottle of prosecco, Typology toiletries, Wi-Fi and gratuities.
