Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington has unveiled Tormenta Rampaging Run, the world’s first giga dive coaster that sets six world records with its 309-foot height and 87 mph speed. The ride, themed after Spain’s running of the bulls tradition, towers over a new Spanish village called Rancho de la Tormenta and plunges riders into a record-breaking 95-degree beyond-vertical drop. The coaster spans 4,199 feet of track and features the tallest vertical coaster loop at 179 feet, the highest Immelmann inversion at 218 feet, and the highest 95-degree beyond-vertical drop of 285 feet.
Bolliger & Mabillard designed this innovative attraction, creating a completely new ride category that blends giga coaster heights with the thrill of a dive coaster. The ride train releases without warning, dropping riders at a beyond-vertical 95 degrees, replicating the exhilaration of the running of the bulls. The coaster offers extended journey time with airtime moments, sharp turns and drops that make riders feel like bull runners through the Spanish-themed village setting.
The park has positioned this attraction as a destination-worthy experience that draws coaster enthusiasts from around the world. The Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area provides a dramatic backdrop from the 309-foot summit before the high-speed descent. This addition represents a substantial investment in the park’s attraction portfolio and reinforces Six Flags’ position in the competitive theme park industry. The ride has been operating since summer 2026, welcoming thrill-seekers to experience its record-breaking features.
