The Irish Dry-Slope Ski Championships 2026 is taking place at the Ski Club of Ireland in Kilternan, County Dublin, on 26 and 27 September 2026. The FIS-sanctioned event is bringing together competitors from Ireland, Ireland, England, Scotland and Wales for a weekend of racing. The fastest skiers from England, Wales and Scotland are travelling to Kilternan to compete against the best Irish ski racers.
The weekend features a full schedule of events. Saturday 26 September includes the International Slalom and International Team Parallel Slalom, with the Dual Giant Slalom scheduled for 3pm followed by prizegiving at approximately 4:45pm. Sunday 27 September features the Irish Open Slalom Championships. The International Parallel Slalom involves two teams of six racers each, comprising male and female competitors, going through parallel slalom courses in a head-to-head knock-out relay race.
Cormac Comerford, Ireland’s top ski racer, is attending following a season that included representing Ireland at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy. The Ski Club of Ireland celebrates 62 years this season, with 52 of those on the slopes of Kilternan. Funding from Sport Ireland and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has enabled renewal of the middle slope and lighting. Over 80 skiers ranging in age from 8 years old are participating, supported by 100 voluntary instructors.
Conor Columb, Youth Race Squad Coach at Ski Club of Ireland, shared: “It’s going to be really exciting to watch our young skiers take on some of the best ski racers from England, Wales and Scotland in the team event and we would encourage spectators to come along and see them all in action.”
