Tourism Ireland hosts six German journalists in Wicklow, Dublin and Kilkenny

Six journalists from Germany representing various print and online publications with a combined audience of around 1.5m readers have been visiting Ireland’s Ancient East and Dublin as guests of Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland. The journalists followed a bespoke itinerary showcasing the beauty of Ireland in autumn as well as the craft culture. Their itinerary included Mount Usher Gardens the Olde Shillelagh Stickmakers a forest bathing experience in the Wicklow Mountains Glendalough Beyond the Trees Avondale and Avoca Mill in County Wicklow.

In County Kilkenny they visited Highbank Orchards in Cuffesgrange enjoyed a walking tour of Kilkenny with Shenanigans Tours viewed the Of Sand and Ash exhibition at the National Design and Craft Gallery did a Wild Irish Botanicals workshop with My Skin Integrity and a wax carving workshop with Spirit Jewellery and visited the Kilkenny Design store. Other highlights included a food tour in Dublin with Fab Food Trails.
