GoTürkiye brings Türkiye’s tourism offering to Irish travel trade in Dublin

The Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency, together with the Office of the Counsellor of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, has hosted a GoTürkiye Destination Promotion Event in Dublin. The event brought together Irish travel trade professionals and tourism stakeholders from Türkiye. Held at Anantara The Marker Dublin Hotel, the event was organised with the support of Turkish Airlines, which invited travel trade partners from across Ireland to participate in an evening of destination presentations, B2B meetings and networking.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Ireland, Esra Cankorur, officially opened the event, hosting participants and highlighting the importance of tourism in further strengthening the ties between Türkiye and Ireland. Representing the Türkiye Tourism Promotion and Development Agency, Eda Çağlayan, Country Marketing Group Manager at TGA, delivered a destination presentation showcasing Türkiye’s diverse tourism offering, key destinations and travel experiences. Kadir Serdar Gezgin, representing the Turkish Tourism Board London Office, also addressed participants, providing further insights into Türkiye’s tourism products and the opportunities available to the Irish travel market. Together, the presentations highlighted Türkiye’s appeal as a diverse year-round destination, combining its rich cultural and historical heritage with coastal destinations, gastronomy, nature and a wide variety of travel experiences. Ebuzer Tanhan, General Manager of Turkish Airlines Ireland, provided Irish travel trade partners with an overview of Turkish Airlines’ presence and position in the Irish market, as well as the airline’s extensive domestic connectivity within Türkiye.

Following the presentations, the programme continued with dedicated B2B sessions, bringing Irish travel trade professionals together with Turkish travel agencies and Destination Management Companies. The attending Turkish suppliers and key executives included AST Tourism DMC, Baobab Travel DMC, Fez Travel, ITEM Travel, Renk Travel, Satisfied Tour DMC, SGA Travel, SOO Travel DMC, Tempel Travel and Vippon Holidays DMC. The meetings provided participants with an opportunity to establish direct business contacts, discuss potential partnerships, exchange market insights and explore opportunities to further develop tourism business between Ireland and Türkiye. Following the business sessions, lucky draw prizes were presented to the winners and guests continued their conversations over a hosted dinner at Anantara The Marker Dublin Hotel.
