Airlines have expanded transatlantic routes for 2027 with new city pairs and extended seasonal services. The expansion reflects continued strong demand on the transatlantic market. New long-range, single-aisle aircraft like the Airbus A321XLR support the growth.

United Airlines added 10 new international cities, largely from Newark. New routes include Luxembourg, Ljubljana, Ibiza, Valencia, Marseille, Catania, Olbia, and Terceira. American Airlines added Philadelphia routes to Vienna, Porto, and Reykjavik. Delta Air Lines added Boston to Venice and Detroit to Athens. Delta will launch Austin to Paris on 27 March 2027.

Alaska Airlines launched Seattle to Athens and Paris. Air France added San Diego and Nashville routes. Icelandair launched Reykjavik to St. Louis. La Compagnie will connect Newark with Düsseldorf daily from April. The expansion targets secondary and leisure-heavy European destinations.
