Japan has reopened Noto Satoyama airport as the world’s first Pokemon With You airport. The facility in Ishikawa Prefecture opened on 7 July 2026 and is scheduled to run through September 2029. The Japan National Tourism Organization will highlight six new luxury hotels and additional rail services at WTM London.
The airport features a giant Pikachu balloon and 111 Flying-type Pokemon decorations in the atrium. Other attractions include a Pikachu’s Village observation deck, Pokemon pancakes at Restaurant Annon, and Pokemon-wrapped buses. The collaboration with the Pokemon With You Foundation aims to aid tourism recovery following the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake.
New Pokemon hotel collaborations include the Poke Ball Hotel in Hokkaido created by NOT A HOTEL. The 3m-wide spherical pod lets guests sleep inside a giant Poke Ball overlooking a lake. Grandia Housen in Fukui Prefecture is adding two Dragonite-themed rooms with bookings opening on 12 November 2026. The Japan National Tourism Organization will also highlight new luxury hotels and rail updates at WTM London.
