Ethiopian Airlines has launched double-daily flights between Addis Ababa and Mahé, Seychelles, from 1 December 2026. This expansion adds 1,078 extra seats per week to the market and boosts air connectivity before the peak festive season.
The additional afternoon frequency is integrated into the airline’s northern winter 2026/27 schedule. The second daily rotation operates with a Boeing 737 configured with 16 Business Class and 138 Economy Class seats. The new service lands at Seychelles International Airport at 4:20 p.m. and departs for Addis Ababa Bole International Airport at 5:50 p.m.
The Seychelles Tourism Board has welcomed the expanded service. Because Addis Ababa serves as a major global aviation hub, the second daily flight reduces layover times for passengers connecting to the Seychelles from Europe, the Americas, Asia and the Middle East.
