Condor has removed its Dubai flights from Berlin and Stuttgart from the winter schedule starting at the end of October. The decision follows Germany’s grant of traffic rights allowing Emirates to serve Berlin. Condor cited challenging economic conditions in the aviation sector including higher kerosene costs linked to the Middle East conflict. The airline had planned to restart the Berlin service from mid-October while Eurowings continues to fly the route from the German capital.
Condor has confirmed it will expand its operations to bridge a previous four-month seasonal gap announcing continuous year-round flights between Frankfurt and the Seychelles. The new strategy eliminates the quiet period that traditionally lasted from mid-May until mid-September. The new cycle officially kicked off when the first resumed flight landed at Seychelles International Airport on Saturday 19 September 2026.
The route operates once per week on Saturdays utilising Condor’s Airbus A330-900neo configured with both business and economy seating. The year-round Frankfurt hub allows travellers from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the rest of Europe to maintain uninterrupted access to the islands. The decision arrives during a softer tourism performance in 2026 with figures showing a drop of around 8.6pc in visitor arrivals during the first eight months of 2026 compared to 2025.
