Paris police have implemented overnight curfews in the Place de la République and Les Halles district following a weekend of anti-government protests and looting. The restrictions prohibit anyone from entering or remaining in designated zones between 23:00 and 06:00 nightly. Public gatherings are banned from 18:00 in Les Halles and near the presidential palace, Parliament buildings, Champs-Elysées and major train stations.

The curfew applies to the entire population unlike restrictions for minors in other French regions. Police are heavily deployed to check identity documents and divert pedestrians. The orders are being renewed nightly for as long as necessary to prevent further civil unrest.

Curfews have also been implemented in Lille, Nice and Marseille. Lille has a mandatory overnight curfew for minors from 20:00 to 06:00. Nice has a curfew for young people from 21:00 to 06:00 until 26 October 2026. Marseille has an overnight curfew for minors alongside a daytime ban on public gatherings.
