Storm Boelo has caused flight cancellations and delays at Dublin Airport with at least 19 flights cancelled due to severe wind gusts and adverse weather conditions. Status Orange warnings were issued for several counties at the weekend. Dublin Airport reported a small number of cancellations and delays on Saturday including Aer Lingus services to Newquay and Birmingham plus a KLM flight to Amsterdam.

By late afternoon nine outbound and 10 inbound flights had been cancelled by airlines. Extremely high winds forced multiple aircraft into go-around procedures resulting in at least six flights unable to land on their first attempt with some diverting to alternate airports. Overnight inbound flights from Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura were cancelled.

The storm also impacted ferry crossings on the Irish Sea and raised safety concerns for the Dublin Marathon. Passengers are advised not to travel to the airport without confirming flight status and to check with their airline or the Dublin Airport live flight tracker. Airlines recommend managing bookings and rescheduling online to avoid phone queues.
