The Lufthansa Group has extended its suspension of flights to Dubai until 25 November 2026. The decision delays a previously planned resumption set for 25 October for Lufthansa and SWISS and 1 November for Eurowings. The group cited the volatile security situation and regional airspace risks in the Middle East.

Lufthansa and SWISS routes from Frankfurt, Munich and Zurich are affected. Eurowings cancelled its planned winter 2026/2027 routes to Dubai from Cologne/Bonn and Stuttgart while service from Berlin is expected later. Austrian Airlines’ planned service from Vienna remains scheduled to start on 12 December 2026.

The Lufthansa Group is contacting affected travellers directly. Passengers are being offered a full refund or flexible rebooking options free of charge. Passengers are advised to verify their itinerary status via the Lufthansa Current Travel Information page.
