Transport Infrastructure Ireland has revealed toll increases across the national road network from 1 January. M50 car users with a tag or video account face a 10c increase. Car users without a tag face a 20c increase. Goods vehicles not exceeding 2,000kg face 10c or 20c increases depending on account type.
Dublin Port Tunnel users face a €1 increase for southbound travel toward Dublin during peak morning hours from 6am to 10am. Other toll rates remain unchanged for 2027. TII noted the increase reflects traffic volumes and the need to preserve capacity for heavy goods vehicles accessing Dublin Port.
Eight of the ten toll roads operate under a Public Private Partnership model while the M50 and Port Tunnel are public toll roads. Tolls are regulated through an inflation adjustment mechanism. On PPP toll roads car rates at most locations rise by 10c while M3 Clonee to Kells car and motorcycle rates remain unchanged.
