TUI has revealed that Mein Schiff 3 will not sail on its 14-28 November cruise as repairs to the damaged ship would take longer than planned. Following its 25 October collision in Bremerhaven, the ship arrived at Lloyd Werft’s Bremerhaven pier on 1 November 2026 for inspection and necessary repairs. The company reported in an update on 5 November that the work would take longer than expected.

The operator reported that the ship is currently planned to be back in regular service on its scheduled itinerary sailing on 28 November 2026, a four-night cruise from Bremerhaven to Kiel via Oslo. The company reported that the safety of guests and crew was always the highest priority and that all necessary work would be completed carefully before Mein Schiff 3 resumes cruise operations.

While the exact extent of the damage is not clear, German authorities rated it as a serious casualty, the second most severe category in its five-level classification scale. The ship collided with two cargo ships in Bremerhaven in stormy conditions on 25 October, with 2,428 guests and 922 crew members onboard.

TUI shared “We know how much our guests were looking forward to this trip, and we deeply regret having to share this news with you. At the same time, the safety of our guests and our crew is always our highest priority.”
