
Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort were awarded ‘Golf Resort of The Year’ award at the 2023 IGTOA Conference and Gala Golf Awards.
Aaron Byrne, Golf Sales Manager at Druids Glen Hotel & Golf Resort, accepted the award at the annual ceremony held in the Slieve Donard Hotel in Co. Down. The accolade was presented by IGTOA Member Mary Hartnett and IGTOA Sponsor Alex McEvoy.
The resort’s golf course underwent extensive upgrades led by course designer Peter McEvoy. These renovations, along with a multi-million euro investment, have restored Druids Glen to its position as one of Europe’s top golf destinations. other award winners included:
- Dromoland Castle, in Newmarket on Fergus in Co Clare won the showcase of the year award for the KPMG Women’s Irish Open,
- Tralee Golf Course named Golf Links of the Year,
- K Club Parkland won course of the year
- Curran Gate Apartments in Portrush won Boutique property of the Year, The Merrion Hotel won Large Golf Hotel of the Year
- Tulfarris, Killeavy Castle and The Merchant Hotel Belfast won Service Excellence Awards.
- Fiona Togher of Carne Golf Links was named Golf Manger
- Padraig Treacy of the Killarney Park Hotel was awarded the Jerry Donworth Outstanding Contribution to Golf award.
