BA changes Avios model for some members from distance travelled to spend

British Airways Avios earning model has changed from distance-based to spend-based for Executive Club members.

Starting from October 18th, members will earn Avios based on the price of their ticket rather than the distance flown. This applies to British Airways, Iberia, and American Airlines marketed flights. All Executive Club members have been notified of this change via email.
