Air New Zealand has upgraded its premium check-in area at Auckland airport for frequent flyers, Koru members, and premium cabin customers.
The redesigned area features sweeping timber curves, folded ceiling battens, and illuminated feather motifs, creating a sense of warmth and nature. A living wall replicates the Waitakere Ranges forest floor, and a 12-meter digital wall showcases bespoke art and music.
The redesign aims to improve customer flow and provide a calming atmosphere for travellers starting their journey. The space includes concierge-style desks, self-service kiosks, and updated bag drop technology for efficient service.

Air New Zealand says the feedback received so far has been positive, with customers appreciating the improved layout, colours, textures, and overall sense of calm in the check-in area.
Leanne Geraghty, Air New Zealand chief customer and sales officer, said “after the January floods caused damage to the space, we took the opportunity to completely redesign the footprint creating a better customer flow and installing new and refreshed finishings.”
