Albania will be added to the Ryanair network on Tuesday with 17 new routes from Tirana to major visitor markets such as Belgium, England, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, and Sweden are expected to stimulate traffic and tourism growth due to Ryanair’s low air fares. The introduction of these routes will also create hundreds of new jobs at the airport and provide Albanian citizens and visitors with more affordable fares and increased choices throughout the year.
In the first year Ryanair expects over 1.6m passengers on these routes in the first year, numbers it says will sustain over 1,000 local jobs in Albania, boosting employment opportunities.
Ryanair rolling 12 month passenger numbers are now at 183.5m.
