Ireland wins double bronze Culinary Olympics 2024 in Stuttgart

Both the Senior and Junior Irish national culinary teams won bronze medals at the Culinary Olympics 2024 held in Stuttgart, Germany.

The competition featured over 1,200 participants from 55 nations and more than 7,000 menus were presented over four days.

The Irish teams cooked in glass-walled kitchens, allowing visitors and judges to observe their every move.

The teams underwent extensive training across the country and achieved high standards, making their country proud.

The Culinary Olympics was held alongside Intergastra, Germany’s largest trade fair for the hospitality and gastronomy industry, with 1,500 exhibitors and nearly 100,000 trade visitors.

The president of the VKD (Verband der Köche Deutschlands), Daniel Schade, described the event as a culinary competition of superlatives and praised all participants for their fantastic performances and culinary artistry.
