Ireland was 14th most important inbound market to USA in 2023 – Aer Lingus roadshow

Ireland had the highest percentage increase on arrivals in January 2024 from European markets, delegates at the Aer Lingus roadshow in Dublin were told.

January visits to the USA were up 23.5pc on 2023 and 6.8pc on pre pandemic. Ireland ranked 17th among inbound markets worldwide to the USA.

For the whole of 2023 Ireland’s rank was even higher, in 14th place with arrivals up 13pc on 2022 but still 12.6pc behind pre pandemic.

Over 120 delegates and 18 destinations took part in the road show in the Radisson Blu Royal Convention centre on Golden Lane in Dublin. Co-sponsors were Visit USA and Dublin airport.

The roadshow commenced in Belfast on Monday and continues to Limerick Strand Hotel this evening (February 21) and Cork Imperial Hotel tomorrow (February 22).
