Mike Whitaker of the FAA has said that said no permanent decision has been made about withdrawing privileges from Boeing’s own ODA, although he says that more inspections will follow.
“We’re shifting from more of an audit approach to a direct inspection approach. As I prepared for this job, I did a deep dive into what happened with the Max originally, the message was extra vigilance. That higher level of vigilance is going to remain.”
