Hilton has launched zero waste menus at four English hotels in response to the UNEP’s Food Waste Index Report, which highlights the significant food waste generated by the industry.

The ‘Taste of Zero Waste’ menus will be available for a month at the selected hotels and will feature dishes made through innovative waste reduction techniques.

Hilton plans to expand the initiative to more hotels in the EMEA region in the future and aims to reduce waste sent to landfill by 50pc by 2030.

The hotel group will donate a meal to those in need for every dish purchased from the menu through The Felix Project, building on their existing work with the London-based charity since 2020.
