Slaney Farms has released Stafford’s Bold ’98 blended whiskey, inspired by the spirit of the 1798 Rebellion, featuring a pike and barley leaves on its label.

John Stafford, who runs the family business, explains that the company’s expansion into whiskey followed the success of their Jackford Gin released in 2021.

Bold ’98 is a blended whiskey made from malt and barley grown by Slaney Farms, with plans for their own matured whiskey to be released in a few years.

Available in Pettitt’s, hotels, and bars in Co Wexford, Bold ’98 has been well-received since its launch in February, praised for its mild and palatable flavor which is best enjoyed with ice.
