Members of the Restaurants Association of Ireland (RAI) have met with Tánaiste Micheál Martin to express their concerns and fears for the future of their businesses

Prior to this, the RAI had also met with Minister for Enterprise Peter Burke and his officials to discuss the ongoing cost of business challenges facing the food-led hospitality industry.

Minister Darragh O’Brien announced a waiver of restaurant furniture licensing fees for 2024, potentially providing some relief for restaurant owners and operators in Ireland.

Restaurant owners are seeking support and solutions from government officials to address the challenges and uncertainties facing the industry. The delegation collectively hold 100 years of experience in owning and running restaurants.
