Warrenpoint based Deli Lites Ireland won a global award at the WTCE in Hamburg for their gourmet take on a ham and cheese toastie.
The award was in the ‘Ones To Watch 2024’ category, recognising the company’s innovative approach to inflight catering with their ‘Gourmet Irish Ham Hock and Mature Cheddar with Guinness infused Rarebit on Bretzel Sourdough’ sandwich.
The sandwich was developed to meet the demands of the travel industry for high-quality, sustainable products that could be easily incorporated into menus with minimal waste.
Co-founders Jackie and Brian Reid expressed pride in the team’s achievement and highlighted their commitment to producing sustainable, high-quality food while celebrating the milestone win at the event.
