Three Wagamama restaurants in Dublin have closed following the appointment of joint receivers to part of the Press Up Hospitality Group, due to a failure to reach an agreement with Wagamama London for the franchise’s continued operation in Ireland.

Immediate trading has ceased at Wagamama Dundrum Town Centre, Wagamama Blanchardstown Centre, and Wagamama South King Street, affecting 106 employees who are now in a consultation period with the receivers.

There is hope for redeployment of affected staff within the wider Press Up group, specifically at the Blanchardstown and South King Street locations, which will remain operational with new offerings expected in 4-8 weeks.

Press Up will stop operations at the Dundrum Town Centre location, and last week, Cheyne Capital took control of Press Up, appointing KPMG as receivers for several brands including Wagamama.
