The Boots store in Dublin Airport’s Terminal 1 is set to close permanently on October 31st as its operating contract expires, amid ongoing renovations at the airport.

Dublin Airport officials confirmed they are planning a reconfiguration of the shops in the Terminal 1 airside area, which will involve reducing the size of the Boots unit to accommodate a new corridor.

Despite efforts to negotiate an extension for the Boots store, an agreement could not be reached, although the airport plans to introduce new retail options shortly.

Passengers may face challenges finding last-minute supplies due to the closure, particularly following the reintroduction of the 100ml liquid limit in European airports. The Boots store in Terminal 2 will remain open and unaffected by this change.

Dublin Airport shared: “We can confirm that Boots’ contract to operate their store in Terminal 1 will expire on October 31. We’ll shortly start works on a reconfiguration of some of the shops in the T1 airside area and this will see the unit currently occupied by Boots being made smaller to accommodate a new corridor. We have been engaged with Boots since March about the possibility of keeping the store open beyond the end of its current contract, but an agreement could not be reached that would have kept both parties happy. We look forward to announcing details of exciting new changes and additions to the T1 retail offering very soon and we’re confident that passengers will like what comes next.”
