Supermac’s hospitality group, led by Pat McDonagh, achieved record pre-tax profits of €43.6m last year, marking a 28pc increase compared to the previous year, supported by a revenue growth of 7pc to €294.37m.
The profits were bolstered by a non-cash gain of €3.74m from the increase in investment property values, with the directors noting strong demand for the group’s products and services despite rising costs.
The group’s cash reserves rose from €85.97m to €111.65m, contributing to accumulated profits totalling €253m by the end of December.
Employee numbers increased by 217 to 2,527, and despite escalating costs, the business generated net cash of €44.37m from operating activities, with directors highlighting competitive market pressures as a key risk.
