The Star Wine List Awards, recognising the best wine lists in Ireland, were announced at SommiT 2024, he Irish Guild of Sommeliers’ annual conference hosted by South East Technological University (SETU) hosted and including events at the Waterford Treasures Medieval Museum and a two-day conference at SETU’s Cork Road Campus.
The conference featured the launch of Brigid O’Hora’s book ‘The Home Sommelier,’ along with wine and Vermouth tastings, and educational sessions focusing on the grape varieties Pinot Gris and Syrah, led by notable wine producers and sommeliers.
Morgan VanderKamer, president of the Irish Guild of Sommeliers, shared: “This year’s SommiT event was hugely successful thank you to all our sponsors, attendees and wine industry guests and Star Wine List, without whom none of this would be possible,”
