Irish Ferries has announced the launch of a new ferry route from Fishguard to Dublin, which will be operational and available for booking online starting December 20.

The ferry schedule for the Isle of Innisfree includes departures from Fishguard at 17:30 and from Dublin at 09:30, designed to accommodate customers affected by the closure of Holyhead Port.

This new service aims to provide travelers with an alternative route following disruptions at Holyhead, ensuring continued connectivity between the UK and Ireland.

Customers can now plan their journeys with improved options and convenience as the new route enhances Irish Ferries’ service offerings in response to recent challenges.

The Isle of Innisfree was replaced on the Dover-Calais route by the Oscar Wilde in June 2024. After maintenance at Falmouth Harbour, it was redeployed to the Rosslare – Pembroke. This redeployment allowed the James Joyce to take on other routes within the Irish Ferries network.
